La lamentable histoire du "Mad Guide"

Peu de temps après l'indépendance, un aventurier qu'il ne nous appartient pas de nommer réussit, on ne sait trop comment à prendre le contrôle du pays. Entouré d'une clique d'officiers dévoyés il tenta quelques réformes de surface qui n'entamèrent en rien le mode de vie traditionnel des clans. Cantonné à quelques manoeuvres d'apparât dans les costumes clinquants de sa garde, on se souvient de son insistance à mettre en place des engins mécaniques blindés fonctionnat au Wiz-Ki !

Horreur et sacrilège ! gaspiller cet elixir pour faire avancer des engins maladroits, vite enlisés dans les déserts de Babord ! Abandonnés de tous, devant la résistance certes passive mais opiniatre des clans qui ne lui laissaient guère de pouvoir en dehors des murs de son palais, le "Mad Guide" résolut de s'esquiver dans un monastère à l'avant Babord de la "zone militaire" que de plus en plus de personnes appellent le "13ème clan". Aux dernières nouvelles,il y serait encore.

Religion : There are 2 religions (catholics and protestants) but all the other religions are in theory accepted including the heretical sects from the main ones as long as they accept the four "Rules of God"

- No aggressivity against any other religion,

- No aggressive recruitment or proselytism,

- No aggression against the moral rules of the majority of belivers from all the religions

- No civil disorder

In fact each clan is entirely of one religion and life is difficult for those who want to live outside the clan system.

Name of ruler : Chief Angus Mc Leod is Chairman of the Council of the Twelve where each clan chief is present. All the administration is controlled by this council. Chairman is mostly an honour as no decision can be made by a man alone, all the power being in the Council.

Population : The total population of Thistland numbers now a little more then 1 million people, most of them on the coastal regions. Ethnically they call themselves "Kiltenscots" and are believe to be related to the Kiltans.

Parliament : The Parliament hosts 2 chambers. The House of People votes the civil and penal laws. The House of Clans votes the economic legislation, the budget and controls the Council.
